Lion's View
17 months later and still waiting for deposit back

In January 2012 we booked accommodation for a week in December 2012 at Lion's View Sea Point. In March 2012 we gave notice that we would like to cancel this accommodation, 9 months before our arrival date. Our cancellation was noted and we were advised that they would revert back regarding the refund of the deposit. In April we were told that they were trying to resell the cancelled dates and we could only get our refund once that had happened. This is extremely unfair as we were well within the 30 days or more notice of cancelling. 17 months down the line and we are still waiting for our deposit to be paid back to us. This is absolutely shocking, they have no right to have kept our money for this long. I am in the process of dealing with the Consumer Protector as every time we attempted to deal directly with the establishment we were met with no co-operation and Elaine is extremely rude. I would definitely never recommend Lion's View, in fact the complete opposite, don't ever book there!!!
