Spec-savers Sa
Misinformed, Misled and Bad Customer Service

Health & Medicine

I took my spectacles (Ray-Ban) to the Spec Savers in Canal Walk (01/09/2013), as the metal frame broke at the nose/bridge area. The front-line lady informed me that the spectacles could be soldered and there was no guarantee that it would not break again. I agreed to that term and requested the spectacles to be fixed.

I was contacted on the 05/09/2013 informing me that the spectacles were fixed and ready for collection. Upon collection thereof, i noticed that:
o the soldered area of my Ray-Ban frame (which is Black in color), was now silver (soldered and lense area).
o Visible gap between lenses and frame
o the spectacles were not even cleaned and the earpiece was bent
I liaised with the front-line lady, who informed me that it should have been color coded or closely matched. Another front-line person (Stefan), said that there was nothing that could be done. I asked him about the frame and why it was not color coded to match the frame. His response and i quote was 'let's get a pen or koki and let's see'. The Optometrist (Wesley Language) also iterated that Spec Savers were not responsible to ensure that the frame was color matched and that there was nothing that could be done.
