Wonderful service

Health & Medicine

1st day at work after maternity leave and I can finally write this compliment

My daughter, Abongile Mnguni, was born prematurely (29 weeks) on 20 February 2013. The Hospital Manager and a Nursing Manager must be proud of themselves for heading such a wonderful team. For 43 days when my daughter was in NICU, Netcare Waterfall became my second home and the warmth of everyone, from the security, to the cleaners, the doctors and nurses is unbelievable.

The NICU team is the best. Having a premature baby is very traumatic. The NICU team made it a point that my daughter's stay was as comfortable as possible. The likes of Sr Given, Sr Tanya, Sister Mamsie, Sr Fiona, Sr Manzi, the Unit Manager and others made us feel welcome and at home. They certainly know how to keep someone calm. Now and again I will receive MMS's with my daughters pictures "Hi Mommy and Daddy, I can't wait to snuggle next to you". I have even kept the MMS and the picture that Sr Nonhlanhla Manzi sent to me few days before Abongile was discharged "Hello Mommy, look, I have been promoted! " and there my baby was in her cute first outfit, in a cotbed, no longer in an incubator. What a wonderful people
