We travelled from Johannesburg last night (Friday, 28/06/2013) to arrive at Crystal Springs at about 22h20. As we were informed upon making our reservation that reception will be closed, we got our keys at the entrance. After settling into our room, getting ready to take a warm shower, we had noticed that the water was cold. as we were unable to contact anybody at this time of the evening, we gave the benefit of the doubt to the lodge. Upon waking the next morning, we checked the hot water and it still was cold. and called reception at 07h30 complaining wrt this. After waiting for an hour, we made a follow up call, and we were told that we had not told them where we were residing, which is a blatant lie. Then at 09h00, maintenance arrived and said that the geyser is not working. We then requested to be moved on the same level to make the transferring of our goods easier, and the room that we were moved to the television was not working. We left the new room at 09h50 with the problem still not sorted out and headed off to reception. where we were asked for payment, not worrying of our comfort, inconvenience and the fact that our morning was wasted. How hospitable is that!!!
