Incompetence at roadlodge carnival city

I called the hotel on Wednesday the 26th June to book a room for Friday 28th June. The lady on the phone confirmed all was in order and gave me a ref number, unfortunately I did not bring the ref with me all the way from the kwazulu natal province. There is now no booking on their system and I must hope and pray someone cancels. This type of incompetence is unacceptable for a recognized group like the city lodge hotels.
