No Authorisation

I am currently in hospital and require an MRI scan as I am suffering with excruciating back spasms and pain. Discovery refuses to authorise. According to them I had an MRI 3 months ago. What they fail to comprehend is that it was for a cervical spine scan under ICD10:M54.22 I require a Thoracic Scan under ICD10:M54.64. How can they not realise that these are separate areas of the spine.
My contributions are R4000 a month... where must I find an additional R10 900 from for the scan.
