My son ordered specs and they were not delivered

Last year in August 2012, my son Xolani Mhlanga went to Specsavers Rondebosch to get an eye checkup. They took down his contact detail but never called him to tell him that the spectacles were ready for collection. Since my son had his old glasses he continued to use them. Now when my son calls specsavers they tell him that there is a new owner. When they check their documents they found that they have incorrectly captured my son's phone number which explains why he was never called to fetch the glasses. Specsavers claimed from our medical aid but now they cannot give us the glasses. The new owners tried to assist but they were not successful becaus the former owner says we took too long to collect. But how were we suppose to know that the glasses are ready. My son was very sick for a long time and the focus was on his physical health and he was not able to follow up last year. If they had called we would have asked a friend to fetch them
