Paid for month of May but benefits terminated

I recently attempted to load a new beneficiary but after submitting application form I was advised that a 3 month waiting period applies (no cover for A&E). Basically I would pay for 3 months and receive absolutely ZERO benefit? I asked to cancel that beneficiary registration and I then decided to cancel my entire medical aid cover with effect 31 May. I paid the May premium in good faith that I would be covered until membership terminated however I received an email today stating all my benefits have been suspended as of 1 May. Even though payment was affected 3 May and confirmation of this received from Bonitas. So sad as originally I was very happy with Bonitas and their service, even recommending them to friends. Now I want nothing to do with them and fore warn everyone else here to be very cautious if dealing with them. My request for access to voice recordings was denied and I am unable to conduct my own investigation to prove their error. They are denying me medical cover for the remaining month, 10 days. Are they THAT greedy? I am in a vulnerable position should I require medical attention EVEN THOUGH I MADE FULL PAYMENT FOR MAY? Fortunately I begin cover with new scheme 1 June.
