I phoned Smartlab before driving to Sandton and was assured by your staff that you would be able to fix my water damaged blackberry 9790 (a phone that retails for R5999). Armed with this knowledge I delivered the phone to you.

The next working day I was told that you cannot possibly fix my phone, and that I must pay you money to get it back.

This set of actions leads me to believe one of two things.
Either you're trying to extort me, using my poor innocent phone as a hostage, or you want to keep the phone, fix it, and sell it on to some hapless consumer as a used phone.

Either way, I am pretty disgusted.

Is a quick buck that important to you?

Have you no shame?

Fair warning: I'm posting our entire email correspondence as a complaint on.
