It's been repaired... what was meant to be fixed?

I purchased a JBL sound dock from the iStore in Melrose Arch some time ago. I returned it to the store because it no longer charged my iPod - in fact, it did the exact opposite - without the iPod even being on, it was draining the iPod's power. The JBL rep eventually collected it from the iStore for repairs two weeks after I'd dropped it off. Another three weeks later, the JBL rep calls me to tell me that it's ready for collection and asks me what the problem was, because all they've done is replace the batteries in case of a power outage! Needless to say, the JBL sound dock is still exhibiting exactly the same problem - no repairs were effected - and upon inspection, the batteries HADN'T been replaced! And this five weeks after I handed it in for "repairs". My replacement sound dock will NOT be a JBL and it will NOT be purchased from the Melrose Arch iStore. Both parties take poor service to new heights.
