Jelly Bean Galaxy Note I

Electronics and household app.

What confuses me is that Samsung doesn't seem to work to a project plan, or by choice just keep their customers uninformed. If JB is already rolling out to the international versions of this device since last month, why can't they state when carrier-based phones are going to be updated? With the previous ICS update, KIES had already updated my phone whilst Samsung were still claiming that they didn't know when the update would be rolled out, as if it still had to occur somewhere in the future! In South Africa premium cellular handsets are expensive. You can buy a very respectable Notebook PC for the cash price of this (already aged) handset! What's ironic is that you can buy the international version abroad at half the SA price tag, bring it back to SA and it will update via Kies WAY sooner than the locally bought expensive carrier-based version! The prior testing to confirm if the update works on it's relevant carrier doesn't make sense. If it's an issue just import the international version in future: it works on all the networks! My old HTC HD2 Win-Mobile 6 phone running JB also works on all the networks! Would be nice to taste the official JB on the Note I before upgrading!
