What a rip-off!

Hello all,
My mom just moved in to a new house. She needed some repairs done. 1) Fridge door hanging slightly. 2) LG Washing machine door handle clip not functioning. We found a place close to us called Inyathi Appliances. Wow, never have seen people try and take advantage of a woman on her own.

When asked to enquire about W/M, the techy took the part to order from LG supplier. A quote was then given to us of R700 R150 call out R250 labour bringing us to a grand total of R1100 to fix a handle.
I contacted LG directly who put me in contact with the agents and was quoted R19.76 (incl) for the exact same part. The agent said that a whole new door for the W/M would not even cost R700. This is an outrage.
Just to recap, Fridge = R600 and W/M = R1100 for two washes and a handle. R1700!!! Washes cost between R0.40 and max R2.00. People in the randburg area beware. these are who take advantage of people. And will be in contact with LG directly to warn them of what id happening.
