Bad repairs and bad Service

I called B.N.V. Appliances on 22/1/2013 @ 13h31 to find out if they could repair my fridge that started defrosting. Call out fee would be R150 payable if I did not accept the quote. They said it sounded like a re-gas and perhaps a pipe that would need to be replaced. I queried how much a re-gas would be & she said R450 depending on the size of the fridge and if it was re-gas and the pipe, about R650.

The technicians arrived and proceeded to cut a copper pipe and pulled out some wiring WITHOUT checking the gas pressure first or giving me a quote. When I asked how much they called the office and told me it would be R795. I told them to carry on seeing they had already ripped my fridge apart.

They left and my freezer works but my fridge section does not work. I called them this morning and they would have come out at 14h00 on 23/11/2013. When I called at 14h05 I was told that they forgot about me, were at another job and could be at my place at about 15h30.

I told them not to worry that I would buy a new fridge as their service and workmanship was suspect. A very expensive lesson indeed
