Sent camera to Darro Electronics in Boksburg (Job No 174982) (This is the authorised repair centre you referred me to!!!) They informed me that the necessary repairs will not be covered by the 2 year warranty as they say the device has been physically damaged - I am disputing this as the device is in pristine condition with not so much as a scratch or scuff mark visible anywhere on the device so I am somewhat angered and see that as simply a ploy to make the customer pay despite the fact that the device is still under warranty. It intruiges me how it can be possible that the device can have physical damage on the inside yet the outer cover of the device has absolutely nil indication of any damge on the outside. I am relatively confident that had the device been dropped it would surely show some sort of scratch, scuff mark or indentation hence I am confident that your repair centre is simply taking a chance to make money this way! If I want to take the device somewhere else for a second opinion then I am expected to pay Darro R150 (for strip & quote) before they will let me collect the device. I called the call centre numerous times and all I get is empty promises of a callback
