MY SAMSUMG S4 BATTERY FAILS AFTER 4 MONTHS

I got my S4 in August and the battery are swollen and dies in just minutes after being charged fully. It also heats up terribly and now Mtn say i have to pay for a new battery as the battery are only guaranteed for 3 months. Or I can let them send it away and wait 3 weeks for it. What must i do over the Christmas season without a phone. Please Samsung help me?
