Wanted technical help only to be sent away with a

I only use apple and have been a customer for years now however, I find it very disturbing that as a apple customer I cannot walk into an iStore and get assistance, instead I get turned away and told to go online and make an appointment. After all my effort of leaving work and using my fuel to get to Clearwater mall because I needed to restore my ipad, I was sent away with a smile!!! What great customer support. Its not like I wanted them to do anything for free.

So what do I do now, please can someone explain to me what needs to be done and I will do it myself
