I took my Ipad in to the Istore at canal walk for an IOS upgrade. The technical assistant I got was very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately when i got home my Ipad stopped working and did not want to charge anymore. I took it back the next day to see if they could fix the problem. I booked it in and a few days later i got a email to say the Ipad could not be repaired but they could give me a discount on a new Ipad if I traded in my old unless good for nothing Ipad. Out of curiosity I took my ipad to the Apple Doctor to get another opinion. Long story short - they repaired (replaced the battery) for about R1200 and now my ipad is as good as new. I feel that Istore were trying to me into buying a new ipad. I wonder how many other people they have conned this way. I now even wonder if they did not switched my good battery as it was working 100% before i took it in for upgrade. This whole experience has left a sour taste in my mouth and feel that they cant be trusted.
