Audiovision don't honour guarantees

I bought a yamaha mini HI FI from AudioVision last december for my wife's birthday. Of coarse the ipod mini jack broke within the first 4 months. Finally getting around to getting it repaired before guarantee expires, ie: digging out invoice from accountant, driving to waterfront, etc.

AudioVision says that it was our fault it broke and is not covered by guarantee. and says we need to pay R1400 to have it repaired. This is on a R3000 machine.

Moral of the storey don't shop at AudioVision, and don't think because it says yamaha on it, it is good quality.
As usual in South Africa the customer is always wrong, and AudioVision doesn't honour guarantees.
