A dilivery not even 2km from the store for R720

My sister and I have moved into a flat together. We decided that it was time to purchase a washing machine and a fridge. One of us will buy the fridge the other will buy the washing machine. As we did the math we already realise that thewhen you calculate these items on higher purchase the deposit is not deducted from the purchase price.

None the less we thought let's se if we could try purchase these Items at Home Corp in Boksburg. While we were inquiering about the purchase and how it would work, we were informed that because we were first time buyers they had to deliver the good to our house. I have no choice in this matter, I would have to pay R360 to have it delivered. But wait, there is more. No only do we pay for the fridge R360 rand, we need to pay for the washing machine R360. This is R720 to diliver two items to the same address not even 2km away.

I understand there is sistems and policies to protect the business, but this is plan. One is lead to believe you are going to get a good deal at Home Corp when the slightly more expensive stores work out cheaper in the end.
