Unfair Treatment

We needed a school for our son who had completed his year (our gr 8) in the UK. St Barnabas seemed perfect - the website and Mrs Illidge are misleading without a doubt! 'Christian values, strong stand against drugs etc' - our experience was far from it. Our son joined the school for a trial period to become accustomed to SA ways and complained bitterly from the first month about bullying, drugs and porn being offered to him. We met with Mrs Illidge again and were assured that these issues would be addressed - they never were. We found our son another school and despite paying a joining and book fee and 4 months school fees we were sued for 3 mths notice period-he never actually officially started their academic year. The school claims small classes, nonsense-2 grades, squashed into 1 class, 1 teacher? 2 toilets: 1 for the boys and one for the girls? What we were promised and what we paid for were very different! In our opinion St Barnabas only exists for money-If you cannot live up to the promises you make how can you bully people into having to live with the terms of your agreement. We should have been refunded our entry fee and not charged the notice at the very least.
