UNISA PAYMENT NOT CREDITED INTO ACCOUNT

Education & Science

In the year 2013 I registered for a Post graduate degree in Honours International Politics. I registered for five subjects the fees for which were to be paid by my employer the Free State Department of Public Works under the bursary I had received from them. On the 18 February 2013 my employer paid an amount of R 7600 in a first batch of payment towards my fees. On the 22 of March 2013 a second payment of R 9660. 60 was paid again into the Unisa account towards my studies. After both of these payments were made I went to the Unisa branch in Bloemfontein to hand in my proof of payment in an effort to facilitate the allocation of the fees into my student account. During the period in which we were allowed to register and deregister some subjects, I deregistered 3 subjects which resulted in me having 2 subjects remaining as opposed to 5. The fees which were paid for me were enough to cover all five subjects, which means I should have a surplus in my account to allow me to further study the remaining 3 subjects I deregistered last year. However, since last year April, Unisa has failed to acknowledge the second payment of R 9660.60 made into their account towards my studies.
