No communication

I have been studied at Vaal university in 2003 and my mom's company was respondible for paying the fees.
according to me all was settled in 2003 as i got all my results.

12 years later on the 08/01/2014 i receive an sms to say my account is handed over for collection.
All this years i never received any correspondence from them, i still live at the same adress and still using the same mobile number, my mom is still employed at the same company so this is no excuse that they could not get hold of anyone.

I 'am so shocked to learn about this only today.
