Bad Approach towards Students
- 10-13-2013

I went to UNISA Daveyton at exactly 11h45 on the 13th October 2013. I signed at the as normal at the gate, and i proceeded through to the main study centre where i was asked for a student card by a security personnel with atittude. I told him that i dont have it, however, i can produce my printed time table and my ID to further identify me that indeed i am a register student for the semister, however, i was denied access to study due to the lack of student card at that time.
I further proceeded to the gate and i explained my situation to security supervisor, and things got worse, whereby i further experienced more bad atittude and pointing of fingers from the security personnel, and they told me about UNISA management giving them authority to request student cards even though students produce other means of identity.
I AM NOT SURE IF UNISA IS AWARE OF THIS BAD ATITTUDE BEING GIVEN TO THE STUDENTS, IF NOT AWARE, THEN SOMETHING NEEDS TO DONE, MOST OF US ARE TWO WEEKS AWAY FROM WRITING EXAMS AND IF WE ARE BEING DENIED AN OPPORTUNITY TO STUDY, SURELY THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE SECURITY PERSONNEL. SOMEONE PLS HELP AS MANY OTHER STUDENTS MAY HAVE SUFFERED THE SAME..
