Very sub-standard product

I am an architect and I specified Quartzcarpet flooring to our swimming pool area. Initially it looked fantastic and felt great under foot. However, after 6 months I noticed the pebbles were starting to come loose and there were more and more loose stones every time I walked on the area. The product carries a five year guarantee and I contacted the suppliers after 3 years when the area had reached a state where it was literally disintegrating at such a rate that walking on it felt like walking on a gravel pathway. I am completely underwhelmed by the durability of this product, considering this is not a high traffic area. I will never specify this on a project considering the poor quality and the poor response we've had on the guarantee. I now have to strip the entire area at my cost and will probably have to tile it. Stick with tried and tested products. This is a gimmick.
