No Warranty on Rain Damage

In December 2012 we purchased an outdoor spa cover from the Spa Company, as our previous one (of 10 years) was damaged in the major hail storm in October) In March, every time it rained, rain water collected in the centre and the cover started to sag. We never had this issue before. I contacted Ruth at the Spa Company and was told to bring it in. As it was Easter etc. I contacted her again and arranged to take it in on 05.04.2013.

I went home, collected it, locked the dogs in the house (so they would not fall in the spa and drown) and drove out to Primrose. I was told by Ruth that see could see it was not right and that they had issues with the covers from December and I must leave it there for Ivan to look at. This I could not do. I could not drain the spa (price of water) or keep the dogs locked ion the house for the whole weekend!

I contacted Ivan who had not sympathy.

This morning Ivan tells us that the covers' have no warranties and they are not responsible for rain / weather damage! This is an outdoor spa cover!!!

Fortunately we are only out R2000, I feel sorry for people who have purcahsed a spa or something more expensive from them.
