AAA Plumbing also known as Anchor Home Services and perhaps other aliases advertises in the Yellow Pages. They claim low prices and no call out fee. When you phone they say after hours there is a call out fee of R295 if you don't accept their quote. Although this is contrary to their advert it seemed reasonable. I was sure the repair would not take long as the plastic pipe in the garden had been ruptured by my Gardner when digging a hole. All that had to be done was cut the plastic pipe at the rupture and rejoin it. They sent someone out and he had to search the boot of his car which seemed to be littered with various supplies, but after hunting around he could not find the part required. He went somewhere to get the part and then I received a call that this repair would cost R1600. I was shocked and asked how they arrived at this amount. They could not tell me but only could say that this was "Computer Generated" and if I did not accept I would be liable for the R295. Reluctantly I accepted as I was loosing a lot of water. The plumber returned and fitted the part in 10 minutes. The plastic part could not have cost more then R100, probably a lot less. Found other complaints on HP
