False advertising and selling fake leather goods

I bought, what I thought, and what was advertise as a leather lounge suite for R18 000 in 2008. This suite was on special at the time. Last year (2012) the leather started flaking and cracking. Finally got a number for the Head Office in Durban, and this is where the drama started. First we were told that because of a "faulty batch" imported, they would recover the set for us. Then after leaving numerous messages (and a couple of months later!) the next story was that because the set was out of guarantee, we need to pay R5 000 labour for the set to be covered. They will collect, cover and we will have our set back a week later. Then again, numerous phone calls and excuses later. they finally collected the lounge suit in February 2013. This is now the fifth week without a lounge suite, but we were promised to have it within 5 days. Not holding my breath, as I literally have a file full of their empty promises!

Long story short, make double sure that what is advertised is delivered, and get a certificate in case of a "genuine leather" item purchase. I will definitely not even consider this supplier EVER again!
