Poor Quality Workmanship

Seven months into occupation of the newly built property, there is a leak from the shower into the bedroom wall (which evidently was problematic during the building process- I was assured then by Jaco that the leak was fixed). There is also a spreading crack in one of the walls. I left messages for Mr Ackerman and I called for him to come and assess the structure. To date he has not responded. I have now filed a complaint with the NHBRC and await their inspection and action. The quality of the workmanship and the ethics of the builder is poor and concerning. The building process was extremly stressful (eg timelines were not met etc.). Credibility of the builder, and peace of mind for the client is important in such an expensive process. I have a newly built home but it has leaks and cracks- given my experience I will not recommend the services of Ackerbou.
