Disapears with deposit

I responded to an advert of J.F. KONSTRUKSIE to have some renovation work done around my house. A person Jaco came to quote me and after accepting his quote i paid him the deposit required. On the day that he was supposed to start the work he never showed up and upon phoning i was told that his vechile had broken down.
This went on for days and upon asking for my deposit to be refunded it has been story after story.

He does, when he feels like it answer his phone but just spins stories and empty promises regarding the refund of ones deposit. He also has two cell numbers advertised 072 092 4825 and 079 223 0328 and his printed quotation forms have his name as J VAN TONDER.

I have managed to find out (here on hello peter) - (though a little to late for me) that he also trades under a name of JAKES BOOM SLOPING. Where he is doing the exact same thing.

As a last resort now i am going to seek legal advise on this matter against this person
