PG GLASS NOT HONOURING QUOTES!!

Went to PG glass for a quote on blinds. The Basswood sample was chosen and given to the person doing the quote. A computerised quote was generated by the sales person and handed to me. On the quote it clearly states the measurements of the blinds and the type of material (i.e basswood) and the price per unit.

When I went to the store to accept the quote I was given a deposit amount to pay. I did not have my wallet on me thus I went to get my credit card. It was then that I received an SMS stating that the quote was on aluminium blinds and not on Basswood blinds which WAS STATED ON QUOTE!! and the price will increase. The increase was in the region of 300%. 300%!! I spoke to the salesperson who simply dismissed me and said the quote is nul and void because I haven't paid the deposit yet.

These people cannot even pick up a phone and CALL ME to explain they might have made a mistake, they simply send an SMS. AN SMS??!!? And then spins some story about wrong blinds, completely insulting my intelligence, then best of all they simply dismiss me when I promptly phoned them.

Except for poor communication skills, insulting behaviour and poor manners a quote was made and not honoured
