The Roof Experts
BEWARE OF THE ROOF EXPERTS!

We contacted the Roof Experts to fix our roof. The contractor whom we dealt with was Johan De Bruyn, who subsequently gave us a quote for R36000 to do the job ie. replace the roof sheeting, guttering etc. We were required to pay a 50% deposit (R18000) before commencement of the job which we deposited into his Roof Experts account.

Thereafter, when he was supposed to report to our property to start the job, he simply didn't turn up. After several calls made to his mobile which instantly went to voice mail, we grew suspicious. We ran a search online and his name turned up a alert warning regarding this person's company. We notified his bank who froze his account and we opened a police case against him. As such he is under investigation by the authorities and has still not responded to any means of communication either telephonically or by email.

We are hopeful for a positive outcome to our situation, but in the meantime thought it might help to raise awareness about this individual and his company to protect others from being defrauded. Sadly we found another complaint on HelloPeter about the Roof Experts who had a similar experience and lost a substantial amount of money.
