Swimming Pool Linning Replacement

I received a quote for the replacement of the marbelite linning to my pool. Pooltech insisted that I insert a new drain at the bottom to control the inflow / outflow of underground water. The work was carried out and all seemed fine. It then came to my attention that the lines along which the drains were cut through the bottom of the pool now appeared as a dark grey colour against the new blue pool bottom. I have contacted the contractor and they indicated that it was the cement that they used that had some quality flaw in it, therefore it was not a warrenty claim. They offered to supply the labour free, admission that there is a problem, but that I will have to pay for the materials.

The issues are:
1. I woud never have put in the drain, if they hadent insisted
2. The product is very unsightly
3. The contractor should carry out the repairs at their cost
