BUILDERS WAREHOUSE WARRANTY REFUSAL

Good day,
Last year 28 Nov 2012 I bought a Makita heavy duty industrial grinder from Builders Warehouse in Boksburg.
I am in the paving business and use that to cut some bricks.
In June the grinder burnt out and I took it to the nearest branch (Bedworthpark) to send it in for repairs as
per the 12 month warranty on the machine. After a week or so I was contacted and told that they are not
going to honour their warranty and I have to pay for the repairs.
Apparently the machine was overused. What does this warranty stands for then. Does it cover the
plastic on covers or perhaps the electrical cord because according to this it does not cover the
electrical parts inside.
I did buy a heavy duty industrial grinder and did use it for the purpose it was made. I feel that
Builders Warehouse should honour their warranty or if not then specify what it's warranty cover
or do away with the warranty at all.
