Charl Botha came to repair downlighters at our house. He stated that all our electricity were in a terrible state and that he will repair and re-wire the entire house for R20000! For the downlighters he charged R2500 but when I insisted upon a Certificate of Compliance he disappeared. We've never received a formal quote. He insisted upon immediate payment of the R2500. When we got a qualified and registered electrician out, he indicated that Charl Botha did not do the work for the R2500 and even created a fire hazard in the way he re-wired the downlighters.
