Don't buy Alva infrared patio heaters

I bought a Alva infrared patio heater from Builders Warehouse 3 weeks ago. the infrared globe fused within 2 days, went back to Builders Warehouse and was told that they don't stock the infrared globes and got send on a wild goose chase all over Port Elizabeth to try and find a replacement globe. Nobody in Port Elizabeth stocks the globe, it was up to me to track the importers down in Cape Town. I can get the replacement globe from Stingray distributors in Cape Town (Alva distributors) but I am expected to pay the transport costs for the replacement globe, plus my petrol costs to about 5 suppliers in P.E., I have been unable to use this heater for more than 2 weeks, so please be warned don't buy this heater from Builders. If you are going to stock a product it is expected that you can provide BASIC backup for the product
