Illegitimate Windows 7

Really? How can one take a laptop for repairs, work on it for a few months and then realise the Windows 7 they reinstalled on your laptop is illegitimate?
This means I now have countless problems updating and fixing my computer.
I went to Matrix with a Blue Screen of Death issue in October, after which I was promised it is fixable. Which they did fix, miraculously. The problem is that the service cost me upwards of R900 and I am now in March, preparing for a new job in an office, only to realise I can't update my laptop anymore because the Windows 7 has been detected as illegitimate. Now, this can't trace back to me - I gave Matrix my laptop without any additional software cds or installations, hoping they could restore it to its original software state. Apparently, it was necessary to reinstall Windows... but a fake one? Note how my system information on my laptop reads:
Manufacturer: Zixaa (never heard of this product before my laptop's return)
Model: R2D2 (I recall this being a Star Wars character, indicating that the software is fake)
I am really off and do demand my money back. I'm sure buying my own new and ORIGINAL Windows 7 would be better than this crime/ .
