Pc Zone
Easy transfer cable not compatible

Computers & Services

I bought an "Easy Transfer cable" from Pc Zone to transfer data from my old laptop running on Windows XP to my new laptop running Windows 7. The box was sealed but on the outside of the box it stated that this product was compatible with Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. When I linked the two laptops, I could see that my new laptop had recognised the cable and had loaded the software from the cable. However, it would not load onto my old laptop running on Windows XP. I then consulted the booklet contained in the box and found that this product was only compatible if linking a computer running on Windows Vista to a computer running Windows 7. To run from Windows XP I asked to go to the manufacturers website. One that website it staated that it did not support XP and that I should surf the web to locate a forum and ask for someone to advise me. this was to my mind totally unacceptable and when I took the product back to Pc Zone, they refused to refund me.
