Pure incompetence of technicians

Computers & Services

I hereby lodge a complaint of pure incompetence of the technician responsible for assessing my Asus Transformer Prime. It would not switch on around end December 2012 so I decided to send it in for repairs as was still under warranty (though was voided by me unlocking it, i had forgotten about this). It was assessed by a technician and a quote was sent to me for out of warranty repair, assessment details were that the I/O board was faulty as well as the main board with repairs totaling over R 4000. Me being a student having no such money refused this and asked if the main board was really at fault, the agent told me the technician had a look again and the main board definitely was faulty. Refused the quote, paid my R200 and today I received my tablet. I study electronic engineering at Stellenbosch, decided to open it up myself, saw flash for rear camera was missing, rewired it, noticed a switch on the main board was up when was suppose to be down, put it back together, it started charging and booted into my OS.

So this being said, I don't know how a they can call them technicians. I have all the proof. Thank you LetMeRepair, I want my R200 and flash module back.
