I own a HP laptop from hp which was purchased just over a year ago. Within the warranty period the laptop overheated excessively causing the computer to running slow and lag badly and was sent in for repairs. It was repaired but the laptop still gave the problem but only happened on the odd occasion which i lived with being so busy. I went back sometime in November 2013 (as problem reoccurred more continuously) to the service center to complain about the same problem which they had 'fixed' but expected me to pay for the service as it was just out of warranty. I refused to pay for this as it is the same problem experienced whilst the laptop was under warranty and was not resolved completely. I asked to speak to management/head office to explain my problem. I was put through to a call center and had no resolution to the problem. I had contacted Head Office to explain my problem I am experiencing with a relatively new R20 000 laptop which has numerous complaints of overheating reported. I was told someone from head office would contact me. To date I have had no response from head office to assist me and my computer is heats up to a point that can cause a superficial burn!!!
