Hard Drive not Working

I bought an Apacer portable hard drive in December 2012. The hard drive now refuses to connect with any computer. On a cursory examination it appears to be a problem with the connector pins on the usb port. Computer Mania simple states that unless i have the invoice showing the purchase, they cannot help me. The fact that I can show using my credit card, that I purchased the hard drive from them is not sufficient. Nor is the fact that the apacer website only talks about the serial number on the HDD being present to prove the item is still under warranty.

Terrible service an attitude. I have bought three HDD and one printer from Computer Mania. I doubt I will ever go back if this is what they call service. Who expects people to keep invoices six months later.
