Jacket loosing inner on first correct wash

I bought my daughter a pink padded adidas jacket Winter last year. I never washed it as she had a lot of jackets and not being used frequently. Today I put it in cold water in a tub and it started turning yellowish. Rinse it and inner started disfiguring. I checked the label it could be washed at 30 degree Celsius. Now she's left with a shirt instead of a jacket.
