2nd Hand Car dealers!!!

My worst fears about 2nd hand car dealers have just been realised. A few months ago my son who is a game ranger in the Northwest bought a Isuzu bakkie from Grayston Motors. I went to meet Lyall the salesman and he assured us of the condition of the bakkie and that he would take care of my son and the deal was done. A few days after taking delivery my son noticed an oil leak and found a crack in the gearbox sealed with putty. He reported this to Lyall who agreed to fix the problem and my son made arrangements to take time off work and drive 4 hours from the reserve to have the crack repaired. On arrival for the pre arranged appointment Grant De Ridder informed my son that Grayston Motors would not pay for the repair. The day before my son confirmed his appointment with Lyall and he confirmed that the repair was booked and my son should drive down which he did. We await a response from Grayston Motors.
