Volkswagen
GEAR BOX RIPPING, COURTESY CAR

Cars & Transport

I bought a brand new Jetta 5 20 months ago. The car has gear box problem and needs to be ripped. The problem was identified by the dealer when i took it and have been told that it can take up to 2 weeks to repair the car. I asked for a courtesy car and told the sales person to tell me when they have a courtesy car. The car is still under warranty in terms of years and kilometres. It has taken 2 weeks and I am still sitting with the same problem and speaking to the dealer! (Cape City VW, Cape Town)
I called VW customer care who told me to go to the dealer again! If I had a breakdown on a long journey, I wander what service I would have receivedt. We pay for a new car and a brand for a peace of mind and a good service!
