Volkswagen
Two months old car out of warranty

Cars & Transport

I bought a new used GOLF 6 GTI with 29000 km on the clock two months ago, since it was due for the service three weeks later I took it for a service at VW Mokopane. After two weeks the car has been in and out twice for mechanical issues. Last Monday another problem aroused this time the gear lever cannot move, it was very hard. Contacted VW client services and explained the problem, they sent a breakdown to collect a car and sent it to VW Mokopane. This time I received a strange call from them telling me that the problem cannot be covered by warranty, I must pay for the repair. I was told that they found some water inside the gear lever mechanism which makes it impossible to move.. I am not an expert of cars but this people just create technical terms to confuse me and I am not going to pay for this. This car has been giving me problems since I bought it; surely there is something wrong with it. Please attend to this matter urgently and let me know the way forward, I do not want to involve my lawyer yet, but if the problem cannot be resolved then I will take it further. The details of the car are as follows, VIN WVWZZZ1KZCW086192, REG BN04PFGP, KM 35100.
