Very Poor Service/Unwilling/No Stock on parts

Cars & Transport

My car's steering lock malfunctioned on Wednesday 3rd April 2013 which resulted in the vehicle not starting. I called Merc Rosebank (becasue I have dealt with them before). Merc Rosebank said sorry the area I am in is not theirs and it should be M2 City. I then spoke to Merc roadside assist and they logged an incident. A technician then came to me about 1hr15min later and checked the car in 1 min and said the car must be towed so he called JJ Towing. The car was towed to M2City late that afternoon. I called M2 City to ask if the car was booked in and they said yes. The next morning I spoke to Albert and he said that they need to try the spare key (even though I had already tried it) so I went to the dealer and tried the spare key which did not work (so waste of time). He then showed me the diagnostic report and it said steering lock malfunction. I then had to sign documents for the parts to be ordered. He said that by Mon/Tues I will have my car back. He then called me on Monday to say sorry the part will only arrive on 22/04/2013. I asked for a courtesy car bu they said nothing available. Yesterady M2 City said they can gve me car but I need to pay R20k dep but that's POOR SERVICE!
