Worst Communinication Ever!!

I rented a car from Avis. At the end of the rental I was owing R1 837.04, which I wanted to settle immediately. I was told, by the branch I hired the car from, Montana-Pretoria, that the money would be deducted from my credit card. This is after I had been invoiced and asked to pay but could not make the payment on-line for some reasons.
I relaxed, trusting that Avis would take their money and everything resolved.
The next thing, they are sending messages to my mother, not me, saying they are taking me to a debt collector - they have never even tried to contact me and tell me that they are not able to take the money from my credit card or whatever.
I always pay my accounts, I have never defaulted on anything. All I have done was to keep my credit record/rating clean and now, thanks to the very unreliable people from Avis, I have debt collectors on my back!!!

That, Avis, was out of order! Try calling ME or sending ME messages next time you have a problem for I do not keep my mother's cell phone with me.
