Chevrolet Opel & Isuzu
Poor quality labeled as ware and tea

Cars & Transport

I purchased a new Chey Utility in January 2012. I had a string of quality problems including, wipers that shudder, door seals that came loose, hooter that broke, wiper washer pump failing and the roof spoiler that started to rust. For a new car a very distressing list of problems.

In November 2012 I was told to wait for a part from Brazil which only arrived late January 2013. I had to wait to have my list of warranty claims addressed, including a complaint about the tourney cover. Although the parts on the car were replaced the tourney cover was "out of warranty" as the repairs were only effected in February 2013.

After a poor response from PE Chevy, I complained to GMSA about the torny cover. I then discovered that my car had in fact been registered already in December 2011 with GMSA as delivered. A serious error.

The complaint I had on the torny cover was simple. The fittings were rusting, nuts were pulling loose and a key plastic part had cracked and broke off. After a factory expert veiwed the cover he declared the rust, cracking and other failures as normalware and tear. Case closed.

GMSA and Chevy PE's approach to their poor product quality is very disappointing.
