Wait in Hope for Ordered Vehicle Spec and Colou

I placed an order for a Kia Rio 1.4 Tec manual sedan in black. The friendly salesman informed me that all Kia vehicles are shipped into SA and that he had no way of relaying my order to a Kia factory so that a vehicle of my desired spec and colour could be shipped to the dealership. I was told that the salesman would check the inventory of every future shipment for a vehicle of my desired spec and colour. Thus, he can't tell me when to expect the vehicle. I have to admit that I find it perplexing that Kia does not to allow a salesperson to place an order for a specific vehicle and have that vehicle delivered to a specific dealership instead of having to continuously monitor shipping inventories in hope. Business processes that result in uncertainty don't belong in 2013! I plan on waiting a further month before I buy a car from a Kia competitor.
