POOR UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE

VW Menlyn identified a water leak on one of my Tiguan`s back doors, the door rubber had to be ordered from Germany and took 10 weeks to arrive.

In the meantime my car is still getting wet inside with all the rain in gauteng.

The service adviser phones and tells me the part has arrived and i need to inform her of an appropriate date which will suite me for the installation.

I made the booking about 2 months after her call, they made the booking, raised a job card to install the rubber.

VW Menlyn received my car and booked it in for the repair.
At 14:30 on the day of the repair, they phone me to tell me they have returned the component, because i took to long to confirm the installation date.

How poor and unprofessional is this, booking a imported component to a customer and returning it without letting him know. Then raising a job card to a part that is not in stores and receiving the car without knowing if they have the component to do the job with.
Poor, poor, poor.

This is not expected of a leading car manufacturer.
