Car Time - Professional rip off

Took my car in - Honda Civic 1.7 2008 model. Was told they had to replace the engine for R40 000.00. Took it to someone else who fixed it for R14 000.00. I feel I was mislead and potentially ripped off. Being a woman I know very little about cars but luckily friends insisted I got a second opinion. I hope others aren't taken for a ride - very disappointing to trust a professional in their advice only to be mislead.
